Article 4 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights declares:
"No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms." This article protects the fundamental right of every person to live in freedom and dignity, free from any form of slavery, forced labor, or human trafficking.
Although slavery is officially banned worldwide, modern forms of exploitation still exist—including child labor, forced work, and trafficking of human beings. As part of our Erasmus+ project "Youth for Human Rights", students from Germany, Croatia, Portugal, Slovakia, Greece, and Turkey worked together to explore the meaning and relevance of this human right today.
Through research, creative collaboration, and international dialogue, they examined how modern slavery affects people globally, and why it is important for young people to raise awareness and promote human dignity. This video presents their reflections and aims to encourage action against exploitation in all its forms.
