Youth for Human Rights: Article 3 – The Right to Life, Liberty, and Security of Person

Article 3 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights declares that "Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person." This fundamental right forms the basis for all other human rights, ensuring that every individual is protected in their existence, freedom, and personal safety. As part of our Erasmus+ project "Youth for Human Rights", students from six countries — Germany, Croatia, Portugal, Slovakia, Greece, and Turkey — explored the significance of this article together. Through discussions, creative presentations, and international collaboration, they reflected on the meaning of life, freedom, and security in today's world — and why it is vital that these rights are defended and promoted by young people everywhere.
