Youth for Human Rights: Article 10 – The Right to a Fair and Public Hearing

Article 10 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that "Everyone is entitled in full equality to a fair and public hearing by an independent and impartial tribunal, in the determination of his rights and obligations and of any criminal charge against him."
This article emphasizes the right to justice, fairness, and transparency in all legal proceedings — a cornerstone of any democratic society. Within the framework of our Erasmus+ project "Youth for Human Rights", students from six countries — Germany, Croatia, Portugal, Slovakia, Greece, and Turkey — worked collaboratively to explore this essential human right. They discussed its significance in safeguarding democracy and protecting individuals, and expressed their reflections through creative outputs and joint activities.
